
Ingredients:
For the crust:
- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- â…“ cup melted butter
- 2 tablespoons sugar
For the filling:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tub (8 oz) Cool Whip or whipped topping
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the topping:
- 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling (or any fruit topping you prefer)
Instructions:
- Prepare the crust:
- In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar.
- Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9×9 inch pan (or similar sized dish).
- Refrigerate for about 10 minutes to set the crust.
- Prepare the filling:
- Beat the cream cheese until smooth using a hand mixer.
- Add the powdered sugar, vanilla, and mix until smooth.
- Gently fold in the Cool Whip until well combined.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled graham cracker crust.
- Add the topping:
- Spread the cherry pie filling evenly over the cream cheese layer.
- Refrigerate the dessert for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow it to set.
