
Description
A hearty and comforting casserole made with ground beef and potatoes, perfect for a family dinner.
Ingredients
- 1Â lb ground beef
- 4Â medium potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 1Â onion, diced
- 2Â cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and cook the ground beef until browned. Add onions and garlic, sauté until softened.
- Layer half the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish. Top with half the cooked ground beef mixture.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes and beef.
- Pour milk over the top and sprinkle with cheese, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
Notes
- You can add other vegetables like bell peppers or carrots for extra flavor.
- For a crispier top, broil for the last 2-3 minutes.
