Easy Chicken Curry Recipe

Ingredients:
500g chicken (bone-in or boneless)
2 onions, finely sliced
2 tomatoes, chopped
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
2–3 green chillies, slit
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp cumin seeds
Salt to taste
3 tbsp oil
Fresh coriander for garnish

Method:
Heat oil, add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Add sliced onions and sauté until light golden.
Add ginger-garlic paste + green chillies and fry for 1 minute.
Add tomatoes and cook until soft and pulpy.
Add turmeric, chilli powder, coriander powder, salt and cook till the masala releases oil.
Add the chicken pieces and roast on medium-high for 6–7 minutes.
Pour 1 to 1½ cups hot water, mix and cover.
Cook for 20–25 minutes until chicken turns soft and gravy thickens.
Add garam masala, simmer for 2 minutes.
Garnish with fresh coriander.
