- 2 slices of bread white or whole wheat
- 2 slices of cheese cheddar, American, or your favorite
- 1 tbsp butter softened
- Optional: 1 tsp mayonnaise for extra crispiness
Instructions
- Butter the bread
- Spread butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
- (Optional: spread mayonnaise instead of butter for a crispier texture.)
- Assemble the sandwich
- Place the cheese slices between the two bread slices, with the buttered sides facing outward.
- Heat the pan
- Warm a skillet or frying pan over medium heat.
- Cook the sandwich
- Place the sandwich in the pan. Cook 3–4 minutes on the first side until golden brown.
- Flip and finish
- Carefully flip the sandwich and cook another 3–4 minutes until the other side is golden and the cheese is melted.
- Serve
- Remove from pan, let it cool for 1 minute, slice in half, and enjoy!
