We all know that ground beef and noodles were made for each other, like my Cheesy Goulash or my Creamy Cheesy Beef and Shells recipe. Beef and noodles are the heart of the dish and they go together like two peas in a pod.

Why This Recipe Works

Making Ground Beef and Ramen bowls is an easy way to fill bellies and bring smiles to everyone’s face around the dinner table. It’s a relatively cheaper way to serve dinner since you don’t need crazy expensive ingredients. This dinner dish is easily customizable and is one the whole family can enjoy.

Ingredients Needed

  • Ramen noodles: Toss out the seasoning packet.
  • Beef broth: Low sodium
  • Creamy peanut butter: Any brand is fine.
  • Soy sauce: Low sodium
  • Honey: For a touch of sweetness
  • Hoisin sauce: Adds a ton of flavor!
  • Spices and herbs: red pepper flakes, grated fresh ginger, salt, black pepper
  • Olive oil: Any oil will work here.
  • Beef and veggies: ground beef, sliced medium onion, carrots, red bell pepper, shredded green cabbage, and green onions for garnish
  • Cornstarch: To thicken up the sauce.

How to make Ramen and Ground Beef Noodles

  • Step 1: Add water to a pot and bring to a boil. Place ramen noodles in the boiling water to cook before draining and setting the cooked ramen aside.
  • Step 2: Mix beef broth, low-sodium soy sauce, peanut butter, honey, Hoisin sauce, red pepper flakes, and ginger together in a small bowl. Whisk together until well combined.
  • Step 3: In a large skillet, add the lean ground beef with the salt and pepper. Brown the beef and chop it into fine pieces. Drain the excess grease and remove it from the skillet.
  • Step 4: In that same skillet, heat the olive oil. Add sliced onion, peppers, and carrots. Cook for a few minutes before adding the garlic and continuing to cook briefly.

Recipe Tips

  • Along with the green onions, you could use sesame seeds for garnish and a bit more texture.
  • Craving a touch of heat? add some with a bit of Asian flair by adding some sriracha sauce when you add in the stir fry sauce.
  • This easy weeknight dinner is even better the next day when all the flavors have had more time to meld together.
  • Making beef and ramen bowls like this is a great way to use up any fresh veggies you need to consume before then go bad, so feel free to use your favorite things or change up the fresh vegetables in this recipe. It’s best if you choose a quick-cooking vegetable since this great recipe comes together rather quickly.
