Chicken Tahari

Ingredients – Step 1 :
500g Chicken
2 Cups Basmati Rice
1tsp Salt
2tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste (For Marination)
100g Curd
1/2tsp Turmeric Powder
1tsp Red Chilli Powder
1tsp Coriander Powder
Juice of Half Lemon

Method :
1. Wash basmati rice 3 – 4 times & soak for 30 mins.
2. Marinate chicken witj salt, ginger garlic paste, curd, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and lemon juice for 30 mins.

Ingredients – Step 2
1/4 cup Oil
1/4 cup Ghee
Whole Spices
2 Bay Leaves
3 Green Cardamoms
3 Cloves
2 Cinnamon
1tsp Black Cumin Seeds
2 Onions
1tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
2 Tomatoes
2tbsp Coriander Leaves
Few Mint Leaves
2tbsp Methi Leaves or Kasuri Methi
3 Cups Water
1tsp Garam Masala
Salt as per taste
1tbsp Chicken Powder
Juice of Half Lemon

Method :
1. Heat oil & ghee in a vessel.
2. Add whole spices and saute for few seconds.
3. Add onions and cook till light golden brown.
4. Add ginger garlic paste. Saute for few seconds.
5. Add tomatoes and cook till soft.
6. Add marinated chicken. Cook on high flame for 5 mins.
7. Add chopped coriander, mint leaves and methi leaves. Mix well.
8. Add water and adjust seasonings. Add garam masala, salt, and chicken powder as per taste.
9. Add lemon juice and mix well.
10. Add soaked basmati rice. Mix well.
11. Add chopped coriander, mint and methi leaves.
12. Cover and cook fpr 15 mins.
13. Allow to rest after turning off flame.
14. Serve with raita and enjoy.
