Ingredients

Potatoes

  • 4 medium Russet potatoes

Seasonings

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon paprika
  • 4-6 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions 

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Wash and dry the potatoes thoroughly.
  • Cut the potatoes no more than halfway down, making thin slices across. Angle the slices for extra crispiness.
  • In a small bowl, mix salt, black pepper, cayenne, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • Brush each potato lightly with olive oil.
  • Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over the potatoes, making sure to get it into the slices.
  • Place the potatoes on a parchment-lined baking tray and bake for 40-45 minutes until golden and crispy.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For extra crispiness, brush the potatoes with additional olive oil halfway through baking. Try topping with shredded cheese or fresh herbs for added flavor.
